CEBC

In the middle of a integral nature reserve

Welcome to our field station

Located in the Deux-Sèvres, south of Niort, in the Chizé State forest, the CEBC is one of the most unusual places for research in France. A team of researchers, teacher-researchers, engineers and doctoral students carry out research of the highest scientific level in ecology and evolution. Founded in 1968, this field station quickly specialized in the study of the physiology of wild animal species, particularly mammals and reptiles.
